THE HEADLINERS ARE:
FLOATING POINTS, MARCEL DETTMANN, NINA KRAVIZ, SONJA MOONEAR & RØDHÅD
ION Albania is delighted to announce its headliners and full bill of acts and DJs for this year’s inaugural festival in Dhërmi between 2-9 September. This year’s festival will be headlined by Floating Points, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Sonja Moonear and Rødhåd. Also announced today are the likes of Blawan, Karenn, Eclair Fifi and Héctor Oaks.
Providing evocative soundscapes, impeccable wave design and influences from jazz to IDM will be Floating Points, while Berghain affiliate Marcel Dettmann will arrive armed with the sound of the global capital of techno.
The трип recordings label head and crate digger Nina Kraviz will unleash a maelstrom of acid, electro and breakbeat on ION’s coastal paradise. Top Swiss selector Sonja Moonear is an underground artist through and through who always surprises and never disappoints. The final name from the top tier of talent will be Berlin’s Rødhåd, who will bring his raw, unapologetic beats to the shores of the Albanian riviera.
UK techno acolyte and drum fanatic Blawan will provide rhythm and groove for the dancefloor. He will also appear alongside Pariah, when they play live as essential underground two-piece Karenn.
DJ Héctor Oaks is another act playing from Germany, his repertoire can best be described as an infusion of contemporary electronic music and rave. Also on the bill is political activist Eclair Fifi, a DJ who resonates through more than just her music.
Jennifer Cardini is a DJ of exemplary taste. From paying her dues on the Parisian underground scene, to becoming one of the most sought-after acts on the international circuit, her record bag contains anything from nu-disco to electro and electronica. With three decades of activity under his belt, Roman Flügel adds further credibility and a wealth of experience to the ION line-up.
Industrial noise proponent JASSS, former MiNT club regular Josh Tweek, entrepreneurial Kosovan Leo Lumezi, Australian export Logic1000, Berlin record shop owners The Ghost, ambitious Serb talent Tijana T and Peckham’s Buddy Love complete the final release of artists.
