TOUTS have released their debut EP ‘Sickening and Deplorable’, along with their next single ‘Political People’, through Hometown Records.
‘Political People’ is a two-minute subculture anthem looking at how politics, the parties and the manifestos are so far removed from today’s youth. This disaffected vitriol speeds in with piss and vinegar summing up the collective conscience of teenage Britain in 2017.
With a stream of incredible support from industry tastemakers including over 15 plays on BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens Tune of the Week, John Kennedy Single of the Week on Radio X, Spotify New Music Friday and Hot New Bands, Apple Best of the Week Playlist, A List Alternative and Breaking Artists, their debut EP has certainly generated a buzz.
With a talent that belies their teenage years, the three members of Touts are just about to sit their GCSEs while simultaneously shooting videos and performing for their fast growing fan base. The video for ‘Political People’ was shot in front of a 400 strong crowd at their last hometown show in Derry.
This summer will see the band play across the UK and Ireland including with Blossoms at the Castlefield Bowl in Manchester and with Kasabian at Custom House Square in Belfast. A full UK tour will be announced imminently.
