Synth-pop three-piece Shadowlark reveal the new video for their up-beat break up track ‘See Each Other Right’ today. The video was directed by Kris Rimmer and produced by Paula McGann.

The video draws on themes of lust and heart-break from the single, depicting a night out between friends that end up finding themselves lusting after one another on the dancefloor.
Of the music video, director Kris Rimmer says:
“To me, the track takes a unique look at physical attraction and has a message that communicates the way that a lot of single twenty-somethings in big cities connect with one another today.
I wanted the backdrop of the video and the story of the friendships within it to act as a reflection of one another. Nights that unfold through instinct as opposed to set-in-stone plans are often the most memorable and the same can be said for relationships.
I think there’s something provocative about when the two scenarios collide; making the long nights and even longer mornings worthwhile.”
Of ‘See Each Other Right’, Ellen says:
“Sentimentally, It’s about a post-breakup period of lust… I’m sure plenty of people can relate, it can get a bit weird. But musically it’s a feel-good track and we had a great time making it.”
‘See Each Other Right’ is Shadowlark’s third single to date, following ‘Control’ and debut single ‘Do Your Worst’. All three tracks have been produced and mixed at Vada Studios in Alceseter by Dan Austin (Massive Attack, Doves, Biffy Clyro) and released via Vital Music Group.
The band have recently released the Soundhorn Extended Mix of the single, which slows down the track, giving it a relaxed yet rhythmic edge.
