4-DATE SOLD-OUT ‘INNER SANCTUM’ RESIDENCY AT LONDON’S ROYAL OPERA HOUSE BEGINS JULY 20
To celebrate their highly-anticipated, sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House this July, Pet Shop Boys have announced a special 12” vinyl release of their single ‘Inner Sanctum’.
The release features a remix by legendary Detroit techno DJ and producer Carl Craig, as well as two demo versions of the PSB single, which are exclusive to this vinyl release. The vinyl will be available to purchase through the official PSB store and other retailers, and will also be on sale at the ‘Inner Sanctum’ Royal Opera House shows. Carl Craig’s remix will be available digitally from July 22.
Pet Shop Boys will host BBC 6Music’s 2-hour Iggy Pop radio show this Friday 8th July 7pm GMT, where they will premiere the Carl Craig remix of ‘Inner Sanctum’.
The very special, sold-out ‘Inner Sanctum’ residency at Royal Opera House will be staged by long-term multiple award-winning PSB collaborators Es Devlin and Lynne Page. The live music arrangements will be by producer Stuart Price (who produced and mixed their latest album ‘Super’).
Over the last 25 years Pet Shop Boys have gained a reputation as innovators of the modern live music show. They were among the first to integrate multimedia and theatrical elements into their highly visual productions and they have collaborated with visionaries such as Derek Jarman, Zaha Hadid and Sam Taylor Johnson. Their live shows are always a visual spectacle that excites and provokes.
Out now on x2 Records (through Kobalt Label Services), their latest album ‘Super’ entered the Official UK Album Charts at number 3, marking their 16th UK top 10 album to date. It was written in London and Berlin and produced and mixed by Stuart Price in Los Angeles. It features 12 new Tennant/Lowe compositions including the lead single, ‘The Pop Kids’. ‘Super’ is available on CD, vinyl and digitally.
