MCPR today announces new client wins for the team’s Brands and Events Division – including Beautycon Media, the global community where content creators, celebrities, fans, and brands come together to celebrate all things fashion, beauty, style and lifestyle. Experiential pop up venue Big Apple Brixton and the prestigious BRITs Icon Award.
Following the recent highly successful Attitude Awards 2016 and the second 2016 run of A-List literacy festival Letters Live at Freemasons’ Hall London, the company also announce the retention of the NME Awards for 2017; this includes the annual NME Awards ceremony in February, the NME Award Shows in London and the NME Awards Tour across the UK.
Beautycon Festival London will return to Kensington Olympia on 3rd December 2016, offering fans the opportunity to meet their favourite YouTubers and Beauty and Fashion bloggers, enjoy interactive beauty experiences from a range of yet to be announced beauty brands, plus Q&A panels, fashion shows, giveaways, shopping, celebrity appearances and much more. MCPR will work with the Beautycon Media team in the US to coordinate all media, talent profiling, line up announcements, live event management and much more.
The BRITs Icon Award 2017 will be awarded to Robbie Williams. MCPR will handle all live event PR for the show at London’s Troxy, November 7th, plus PR for the show’s broadcast on ITV in December.
Big Apple Brixton is the winter incarnation of London’s hottest summer pop up, Brixton Beach Boulevard. The award winning team (Design My Night’s ‘Best Pop-Up London 2015), will transport Londoner’s to 1970s New York City for three themed indoor bars and one themed nightclub based on iconic venues from 1970s New York City. There will also be four themed private rooms available for hire (a barbershop, record store, Latino chapel and peep show) and four different US themed food vendors, as well as roasts and a Bloody Mary bar on Sundays. The venue will also host exercise classes (Disco Yoga and Hip Hop Dance Classes) on Tuesday evenings.
The accounts will be lead by Lottie Lander, Head of Brands and Events and Sarina Clark, Brands and Events PR Coordinator, alongside the rest of the team – all reporting into Director, Sarah Henderson and MD, Murray Chalmers.
