JUSTICE’S NEW SINGLE ‘RANDY’ IS OUT NOW
SINGLE PREMIERED ON BBC RADIO 1 AS ANNIE MAC’S HOTTEST RECORD IN THE WORLD
NEW ALBUM ‘WOMAN’ OUT LATER THIS YEAR
Following its premiere today on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World, Justice’s new single ‘Randy’ is out now—listen here: http://smarturl.it/JusticeRandy. ‘Woman’, the first album from the band in five years, is set for release later this year.
‘Randy’ is a good example of the sinuous and multifaceted nature of the songs Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé favour. Opposites attract on the single, from the rough, electronic sounds of machines to Morgan Phalen’s soft pop vocals, leading to an orchestral climax.
‘Randy’ follows the band’s July release ‘Safe And Sound’, which received widespread critical acclaim:
“A thrilling march of swirling disco strings, robo-synths and thumb-punishing slap-bass workouts.” – Q Magazine
“A heady cut of romantic French electro-disco…full of stirring emotion and intensity” – DJ Mag
“A pure banger…something to totally lose yourself in” – NME
“A glittering piece of disco-funk” – The Sun
Justice is Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The Grammy-nominated duo formed in France in 2003 and quickly rose to prominence, signing with iconic label Ed Banger Records and releasing a series of acclaimed remixes, including their track ‘We Are Your Friends’ with Simian, which became an international cult hit. Their debut album † was released in 2007 and ‘Audio, Video, Disco’ followed in 2011, both to widespread critical praise.
Justice’s new single ‘Randy’ is available to stream and download now.
