| Listen to the track HERE Cleo Sol is a London-born and raised singer and songwriter beginning 2019 with a brand-new release today ‘One’. It follows her acclaimed debut EP last year titled ‘Winter Songs’, which i-D magazine deemed ‘a collection of four heartbreakingly beautiful tunes’. ‘One’ is a transcendent track featuring Cleo’s commanding, soulful voice intertwined with an array of hazy, moving instrumentals and rich percussion. ‘One’, available now, not only demonstrates Cleo’s abilities as a singer but as an excellent lyricist as well, serving as a hazy, blues-infused call to action for the human race to come together for strength, as one entity. Cleo Sol began 2019 with an array of exciting news including a feature on Little Simz’ track ‘Selfish’, which was well-received by the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music. She was also hand-picked by Gilles Peterson to join a line-up of the best of up-and-coming British talent at his Worldwide Awards in London last month at London’s KOKO. With both of those accolades to her name and ‘One’ out today, Cleo proves that this year is bound to be monumental for her. Cleo Sol is a singer, songwriter and co-founder of her own label with partners, Forever Living Originals. She has spent the past four years working on her craft – writing and recording her own material alongside respected producer Inflo. Cleo’s thought-provoking lyrics often reflect on her personal experiences and journey of growing up as a young woman in London. Following ‘One’, this year is set to see the release of more music from the rising star. |
