LEMAR RELEASES THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR HIS BRAND NEW SINGLE ‘THE LETTER’ OUT AUGUST 21ST

NEW ALBUM, ‘THE LETTER’ WILL BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 9TH VIA BMG
Lemar is back with a brand new video for ‘The Letter’ (directed by Carly Cussen). Watch the video here:
The video, his first since 2012’s ‘Invincible’, sees the sharp-suited Lemar singing soulfully as he strolls through the iconic streets of New York City. Originally by 60s rock group The Boxtops, Lemar’s interpretation of ‘The Letter’ has a vintage sound, a sign of what’s to come on his upcoming album, of the same name.
Recruiting the finest musicians for the project, ‘The Letter’ was produced by the legendary Larry Klein, who has worked with greats such as Joni Mitchell. The album was recorded in EastWest Studios in Los Angeles where Frank Sinatra often recorded.
Lemar says:
“Over the years, I’ve been approached to do several soul projects but the timing never felt right. After a decade on the road, it does. My voice has matured and strengthened so much that I knew I could do justice to the songs. But I also knew the right players had to be involved. It’s not only about my voice. It’s about the musicianship, the way the songs are recorded, where they’re recorded, the vibe. Getting all of those right isn’t easy – but this just felt right.”
Single ‘The Letter’ is out 21st August, with the album to be released 9th October via BMG
