Grammy-nominated Alesso, one of the world’s most influential DJs, producers and all-round entertainers involved in progressive music and content creation, has today unleashed his new single ‘REMEDY’ via Virgin EMI Records. The Swedish artist – who has four UK top 10 singles and over 3 billion streams to his name – has released the single alongside its science fiction-inspired accompanying official video. The short film stars Alesso himself, and was directed by actor and YouTube personality Rudy Mancuso. It was produced by Shots Studios, the management and production company founded by John and Sam Shahidi who have recently signed Alesso onto their roster. The track was co-written by Alesso, with vocals from Conor Maynard.
Alesso says: “I always strive to create music that feels a year ahead, and ‘REMEDY’ sounds like 2019 already to me. So launching the track and creating future progressive music, with such a progressive team is a perfect fit for me.”

He has four UK Top 40 singles to his name, such as the 2014 single ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’, which featured Tove Lo. With his production genius and honest songwriting on full display, the track became a worldwide hit, reaching number 1 on Billboard’s US Dance Club Songs and number 6 on the UK Singles Chart. The single also serves as a demonstration of Alesso’s keen eye for discovering talent early, as Tove Lo’s success went on a huge upward trajectory following the release of the track.
Alesso’s debut album ‘Forever’ was released in 2015 and was met with huge success in the UK, featuring the UK top 10 singles ‘Cool’ and ‘If I Lose Myself’ with OneRepublic, which was also certified 4x Platinum in his home country of Sweden.
With his music and visuals, Alesso creates live experiences that have made him one of the genre’s most celebrated performers. In 2012, he joined Madonna as the opener during her MDNA tour.
